We are beginning an early Saturday morning class on June 20 at 8:30 a.m. to beat the heat.    The classes will be held by India Rassner-Donovan, who is skilled in a variety of yoga techniques.   How about it?  Call Deena at 303-5672 for details or E-mail us at Bastrop Gardens.

Bastrop Gardens is an organic garden center and nursery which also provides Bastrop County with landscape design, installation and editing, sprinkler system design, installation and repairs, and backflow inspections.  The garden center also has a pick-your-own organic vegetable farm offering seasonal produce, providing living food for our community.

For more information on programs and classes or for directions, call Bastrop Gardens at 30-FLORA (303-5672).

YOU CAN'T BEAT OUR AEROBIC COMPOST TEA TO GREEN UP YOUR GARDEN AND YOUR LAWN!!! ONLY $7 A GALLON.  AT 4 TABLESPOONS PER GALLON OF WATER MIXTURE, THAT GOES A LONG, LONG WAY AND CAN'T BE BEAT FOR FERTILIZING ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING GREEN AND GROWNING.

What we've got to pick right now:

We only have Swiss Chard left from the fall garden.   And the East and West Farms, are planted with rows and rows of various types of tomatoes -- from heirlooms to modern types like Bigger Boy and Celebrity, not to mention plenty of Romas, many peppers and Ichiban Eggplant. All of which are ripe or near ripe.  It's June big time, and the multitudes of green tomatoes are ripening.  Big, juicy tomatoes!  Little cherries! Tasty Celebrities! And weird shaped but totally tasty Heirlooms!

Ripe: We have Herbs available to some extent, such as Various Oreganos and lots and lots of Chives, plus Mints and more.

Bastrop Gardens is a full-service garden center.

We're Bloomin' Beautiful -- Come See Us!!

Lots of natives, flowers galore and much, much more!! We've got what survives the Texas heat!

And plenty of art, cool tools for the gardener and beneficial insects to control those pests!!!

There's lots of fresh, seasonal, organically grown food from our own micro-farm -- come pick your own!

Call ahead for availability and ask what's ripened up since this posting date for your pleasure and health.  Call 30-Flora (303-5672).

Savor our beautiful Texas native plants -- we have a wide selection, plus all the organic products to care for and feed your plants and lawn, featuring Rabbit Hill Farm products, Medina Fertilizers, Neptune's Harvest and many other brands.

We've replaced Bio-Form dry, pelletized, fertilizer with Medina. We've switching because the Medina contains kelp and micronized green sands, unavailable in the dry Bio-Form.  But the Bio-form liquid is still on our shelves because it is an especially effective rescue formula when plants have undergone a stressful event. Ask about how Bio-form liquid can rescue plants in trouble. Our antidotal evidence will convince you that this is the 'real stuff'. As landscape professionals, we've never found the likes of Bio-Form liquid. Outstanding!!

We have, for our customers, seasonal, fresh vegetables, herbs and flowers, and, always, annual color. We have the organic and biological controls for those pests and ills in your garden, such as Garrett Juice, Garlic Barrier and live insects drop-shipped to your front door. Plus, we have garden and patio art and statuary, pottery and gadgets. Come see our concrete art. We've found a concrete company that goes the extra mile to make the finest statuary and bird baths available with incredible detail!!

We now feature a line of Music of the Spheres tuned wind chimes that are delicious to the ear! These locally produced chimes are unbelieveable and unearthly in their resonance.

You can also e-mail us at "Ask the Expert FAQs" with all your garden questions.
