Do you have a favorite VEGETABLE -- not vegetarian-- recipe you’d like to share?? Bastrop Gardens is seeking recipes and the story of how you got it for a garden vegetable cookbook. Bean recipes with fatback, zucchini or ichiban eggplant, okra and tomato, whatever -- just as long as it's got veggies in it, we want to hear from you!

 Each recipe would be attributed to the contributor, along with your story. If you want to participate, please e-mail your story and recipe to us at ladybutterfly@bastropgardens.com. We may want to include some photographs (digital) if you have a picture in your garden.

Once it is in print, 10 percent of the profits will go to the Children's Advocacy Center that serves four counties, including Bastrop County.  They just lost significant funding this year and we all should help out. Our children are our future.
