EVERYTHING ON OUR PICK-YOUR-OWN FARM IS RIPE!  OUR WINTER GREENS ARE ABUNDANT.  ALSO VISIT US AT THE 1832 FARMERS MARKET ON TUESDAYS, 2-6 PM AND FRIDAYS, 10AM-2PM.  LOTS OF LETTUCES, ASIAN GREENS LIKE PAC CHOI, MIZUNA, ETC., PLUS DELICIOUS MUSTARDS AND SWISS CHARD.  REMEMBER TO EAT FIVE COLORS A DAY TO HELP KEEP THE DOCTOR AT BAY!

BASTROP GARDENS IS NOW DISTRIBUTING NATIVE AMERICAN SEED COMPANY'S SOUTHEAST DROUGHT & WILDFIRE RECOVERY MIX ESPECIALLY FORMULATED FOR OUR REGION AND ELBON CEREAL RYE!  AT OUR COST!!  IT CONTAINS A MIX CONSTITUTED OF 56 COOL AND WARM SEASON GRASSES AND WILDFLOWERS.  NATIVE AMERICAN SEED WILL BE AT THE EXPO NEXT TO BASTROP GARDENS.  How to plant native seeds.  What's in this mix.  WE ARE ALSO CARRYING NATIVE AMERICAN'S NEW WOOD FIBER NET-FREE EROSION CONTROL BLANKET.  THIS IS A GOOD WAY TO STOP EROSION ON SLOPES, AS WELL AS HOLD YOUR SEEDS IN PLACE ON SLOPES AND LEVEL GROUND ALIKE.  BIODEGRADABLE, IT WON'T TRAP LIZARDS, SNAKES OR THE HOUSTON TOAD, & IT IS SEWN WITH THREAD INSTEAD OF CAPTURED IN A PLASTIC NET.

Come visit our newest addition, the Heirloom Tea Room at Bastrop Gardens.  Our tea room features herbal teas grown and produced locally, as well as a selection of imported teas from around the globe.  We are proudly offering a cup or a pot of tea to the individual seeking  quiet respite to get away from it all in our beautiful outdoor tea room or surf the Web with free Wi-Fi.  We can also book High Tea for groups, have dress up parties for birthdays, and special occasions.    The Heirloom Tea Room features lady’s hats from the ‘30’s through the ‘60’s, costume jewelry, and antique tea services to create a very special occasion.  List of Teas

Beginning Feb. 8, every Wednesday evening from 7-8 p.m. come and de-stress with Belly Dancing at Bastrop Gardens. But please call ahead at 303-5672 to make sure the group is meeting this week.  This traditional social folkdance has helped women relax and get/stay in shape since Biblical days. It’s fun for women of all ages & all shapes. Free for fire victims, firefighters, first responders and law enforcement. By donation for everyone else. Ongoing group – OK if you can’t always make it.
